Islamabad: UAE Embassy held another splendid Iftari program on Thursday. It was co-financed by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation and UAE Red Crescent Authority. The series of gracious Iftari programs will be carried out throughout the holy month of Ramadan in various cities of the country not confined to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and Lahore.
It was arranged Thursday evening in the compound of Social Welfare Kashana centre , working under the supervision of the government of Punjab. More than 200 orphan and special children of the centre along with their families attended and enjoyed the Iftari program. They all appreciated the extended charity work of the UAE Red Crescent on the special directives and guidance of the His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE. The staff members also expressed their thankfulness for this dignified practice and requested to have such kinds of charitable activities at regular basis.
The Incharge of the centre Mrs. Talat Shabbir said such programmes help the centre to cover part of its expenditures and welcome voluntary contributions from benefactors. She shared that such humanely gestures leave a good impression among the children, make them happy. Moreover, talking to her centre she observed that Kashana centre was responsible for the care of orphan girls the only center in the city of Rawalpindi. She personally thanked to the personnel of UAE Red Crescent Authority and the officials of the UAE Embassy in Islamabad.
One of the officials of the centre Mr.Shabbir said the Iftari programme was well organized. He expressed great hope that these humanitarian efforts and programs such as Iftari would be continued in the days to come.
