The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday held the balloting of residential plots of the Park Enclave Housing Project. CDA Chairman Engineer Farkhand Iqbal conducted the balloting by punching the key of a computer at CDA Headquarters. A large number of allottees were present on the occasion.
As many as 613 residential plots were allotted through the computerised balloting. The CDA chairman, while addressing the ceremony, said that development work in the scheme would be completed as per commitment.
Iqbal said the Park Enclave Housing Project was the only environmental-friendly model housing scheme in the heart of Islamabad where the allottees would be able to construct their houses benefiting from the natural environment. He disclosed that work on the security wall around the Park Enclave was underway, adding that the remaining development work would be completed soon. He asked the allottees to pay installments of their plots as per the schedule, enabling the CDA to complete the development work. He told them that the CDA held complete possession of the Park Enclave Housing Project.
The development work on other mega projects, including Margalla Avenue and 11th Avenue, Iqbal said, was in full swing while work on supply of water from Ghazi Barotha Dam to the twin cities and operation of a modern bus service would commence soon. Iqbal said that these projects would play a vital role in the promotion of the business activities in the federal capital. The CDA chairman further said the authority was committed to making Islamabad the hub of economic activities, adding that the CDA is expanding Blue Area where multi-story buildings and towers would be constructed.
