Islamabad Police have maintained computerized record of its all police officials from the top hierarchy to constable level with complete job details and service record of its personnel, a police spokesman said.
Under ICT Police project E-Enablement of Islamabad Police, being sponsored by Ministry of IT & Telecom and executed by Electronic Government Directorate, all the manual record of employees of Islamabad Capital Territory Police have been computerized which includes Service Roll, personal files etc. He said this computerized record has been named as Human Resource Management Module and implementation on this project has been ensued by DIG Headquarters Kamal Uddin Tipu following the directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Kaleem Imam. This online system was first used on October 8 (Friday) during the departmental promotion when the record of 102 Head Constables and 56 Assistant Sub-Inspectors was presented before Departmental Promotion Committee.” In this context first time in ICT Police’s history Departmental Selection Committee was conducted online. Record of all recommended candidates were presented on-line infront of DPC board,” he maintained. The selection board was headed by DIG-HQ Mr.Kamal-ud-Din Tipu whereas other members including AIG-Estt Mr.Ashraf Zubair Siddiqui, SSP Headquarter Mr. Ashfaq Ahmed and SP Legal also attended. Total 102 Head Constables and 56 Assistant Sub-Inspectors were promoted.
